As the City of New Orleans begins its phased reopening, we know many of you are curious about when the Reily Student Recreation Center will resume operations. The Department of Campus Recreation continues to follow Tulane University guidelines for business resumption. As this is an extremely fluid process, we do not have a resumption date at this time. 

Due to expected capacity limitations, the priority of access to the Reily Center will be given to Tulane students, faculty, and staff during the initial phase of our reopening. We are not charging members during this time and will only reinstate billing once each membership category can begin accessing the facility. Our pool may also be closed for necessary repairs during the initial phases. 

We invite you to participate in the multiple Virtual Activities we are offering. New instructional videos, healthy recipes, virtual group exercise classes, and other activities are added weekly to our YouTube channel, social media feeds, and website. 

We will continue to communicate updates related to business resumption on our website, social media accounts, mobile app, and via email. If you have not done so, please sign up to receive our email alerts

Personal Fitness Programs

The Reily Center will close at 5 p.m., Friday, March 13 until further notice. During this time, there will be no group exercise classes, fitness certifications, or personal and group training.

Personal Fitness Assessment and Weight Room Orientation (1.5 hours)
The personal fitness assessment provides members with the opportunity to learn about their current fitness level and provides a basic orientation to the weight room. This package does not include the creation of a fitness plan. For help creating a fitness plan, a personal training session package should be purchased here.

Personal Training Sessions

Personal training sessions are conducted in a one-on-one or partner setting. Clients will work with a personal trainer who will develop an exercise plan that fits their individual needs in order to accomplish their fitness goals. A fitness assessment is included with purchase of session package.

30-Minute Personal Training Sessions
5 sessions: $150 Member
10 sessions: $260 Member

1-Hour Personal Training Sessions
5 sessions: $260 Member
10 sessions: $375 Member (Student Special: $300)
10 partner sessions: $250 Member/per person (Student Special: $200 per person)

Small Group Training Sessions

Small Group Training is a unique experience that combines the individualized instruction of Personal Training with the community atmosphere of Group Fitness Classes. Participants will receive one-on-one attention with the help of a certified Personal Trainer or Group Exercise Instructor. These programs are a great lower cost alternative to Personal Training. Pre-registration is required for all programs, 


This 60-minute class utilizes heavy bags, focus mitts, kettlebells, TRX, and other tools to create a compound workout like no other. You can expect to work on skills like punching, kicking, agility, speed, power, and a healthy dose of metabolic conditioning. Class meets in the Functional Fitness Gym. Boxing gloves and wraps are required - please bring your own.

Tuesday | 4:30pm
Session A:  January 28 – March 10 (no class February 25)
Member:  $60

TRX Flex: 

This 60-minute, interval-style class incorporates TRX suspension training and functional movements to strengthen and tone the body. Participants can expect to learn proper lifting form and how to use the functional equipment like TRX, barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, slam balls, and dumbbells in a fun group environment. Class meets in the Functional Fitness Gym.

Session A:  January 29 – March 11 (no class February 26)
