Upcoming Adjusted Hours:

Campus Recreation will operate on an adjusted schedule Thursday, October 6-Sunday, October 9 for Fall Break. There is no Group Exercise during the break. We will resume our Hours of Operation and Group Exercise schedule on Monday, October 10. The adjusted hours of operation for the Reily Student Recreation Center and Tulane Fitness Center (TU Fit) are as follows:

Reily Student Recreation Center:

  • Thursday, October 6-Friday, October 7: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 8: Closed (Home Football Game)
  • Sunday, October 9: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

TU Fit 

  • Thursday, October 6-Friday, October 7: 6 a.m.-7 p.m.

The Department of Campus Recreation is proudly hosts some of the most popular and widely attended programs on campus.  Students can find late-night activities, unique fitness opportunities, outdoor adventures, and a lot of fun and excitement at TU Rec. See below for upcoming events put on by our Fitness Team.

All events are free for students with a valid Splash ID.

Upcoming 2022-2023 Events 

Free Fitness Assessments & Fitness Space Orientations

Get one-on-one time with our personal trainers to build your confidence in navigating the Weight Room and Functional Fitness Gym with our orientation that will introduce you to strength equipment and provide you with the general knowledge you need to get a full-body workout. The Fitness Assessment includes a body composition analysis, as well as flexibility, strength, and heart-rate evaluation. We are focusing on themes of health each month! In partnership with other departments such as Campus Health and Campus Dining, we plan to focus on the importance of well-rounded health for each of the themes listed below. All patrons of the Reily Center are welcome to attend and benefit from this FREE monthly service!

Outdoor Yoga & S'mores

Treat yourself and stretch outdoors. The all-level yoga class will focus on mindful movement, meditation, stretching and relaxation.  After class, all participants are invited to build their own S’more with a perfectly roasted marshmallow from our fire pits.  Meet new people and learn about more opportunities to get involved with Outdoor Adventures and Fitness & Wellness.  All participants must bring a yoga mat or towel for class. Class is weather-dependent, check the website for updates.   The class will be held in Diboll Studio in case of inclement weather.

Bodypump Launch Party

Learn new choreography, and lifting techniques and hear new tracks with your favorite instructors at Campus Rec! Bodypump® is the original barbell class that will sculpt tone and strengthens your entire body by combining low weight loads with high repetition movements. Cool off after class with refreshments and a chance to win exciting raffle prizes. Arrive early to secure your spot, limit of 40 participants.

Group Exercise Challenge

In this challenge, you’ll complete a Bingo card of group exercise activities to enter a raffle for fitness swag. Cards can be picked up in any group exercise class and stamped by the instructor of the activity you attend. Turn your completed card in the box at the front desk! CycleBasics: A Beginner's Indoor Cycling Workshop

Indoor Cycling can be a great cardio exercise that’s low-impact on the joints and effective for aerobic base building or interval training. Dimming the lights and pedaling to the beat of the music makes a 60-minute workout breeze past. If it has been all summer since your last cycle class and you need a refresher or you’re a first-time rider, this is the workshop for you.  We will cover the basics of a cycling class from bike set-up and safety to monitoring intensity and pace. Come get your sweat on!  Arrive early to secure your spot, limit of 17 participants.

Advanced Cycle Workshop

Take the scenic route in this 90-minute ride, powered by music and imagery. Jump and climb to the tops of hills and push your pedals through sprinting stages. Space is limited, so arrive early to secure your spot.

Roll + Flow: Foam Rolling and Yoga Workshop 

Learn and practice the basics of gentle myofascial release paired with yoga postures and sequences to relax your body and muscles. End class with restorative poses and guided relaxation. Props will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes.
