Campus Recreation is sending critical membership updates via email.

Tulane University recently released a comprehensive plan identifying measures necessary to support the health and safety of the Tulane community when we return to campus this fall for on-ground teaching, learning, living and working. This plan will require significant modifications to our normal operations. These changes are necessary in order to protect the health of the members of our academic community, as well as the health of our neighbors. To safely fulfill this mission, Campus Recreation must, regrettably, limit Reily Student Recreation Center membership and access to Tulane University affiliates only. These changes affect the following membership types (click links for detailed information): Community Memberships, Early Bird Memberships, and Silver Sneakers Memberships

We invite you to participate in the multiple Virtual Activities we are offering. New instructional videos, healthy recipes, virtual group exercise classes, and other activities are added weekly to our YouTube channel, social media feeds, and website.

Group Fitness Programs

Powered by high-energy music, challenging exercises, and motivating instructors, group classes are designed to make your fitness goals easily attainable while giving you a fun and energizing workout.  The Group Exercise schedule is available online, on our TU Rec app, and in the Reily Center.

  • Fall 2020 Schedule begins August 19, 2020
  • 50+ free classes are offered weekly
  • Hybrid schedule of in-person and virtual options
  • Group Cycling, Yoga, & Pilates classes are now included in all memberships!
  • Modified schedule dates:
    • September 7: Labor Day
    • November 24 - 29: Thanksgiving Break 
    • November 30 - January 10: Winter Break

Special Fitness Events

The Department of Campus Recreation proudly hosts some of the most popular and widely attended programs on campus.  Students can find late night activities, unique fitness opportunities, outdoor adventures, and a lot of fun and excitement at TU Rec.  All events are free for students with a valid Splash ID. 

Outdoor Sunset & Starlight Yoga

Experience the serenity of Yoga on Brown Field at sunset and under the stars!  This all levels class will focus on relaxation, mindful meditation, stretching, and alignment.  All participants must bring a yoga mat or towel for class. Class is weather dependent, check website for updates.

Custom Fitness Class

Fitness instructors will teach a personalized fitness class just for you! Custom classes are great ways for groups to get fit and have fun together. To set up a custom fitness class, complete our custom class request form at For max capacities and Covid-19 safety policies, please email

Group of 1 – 25 participants: $45 per hour
Group of 26 – 50 participants: $55 per hour
Group of 51 – 75 participants: $65 per hour
