As the City of New Orleans begins its phased reopening, we know many of you are curious about when the Reily Student Recreation Center will resume operations. The Department of Campus Recreation continues to follow Tulane University guidelines for business resumption. As this is an extremely fluid process, we do not have a resumption date at this time. 

Due to expected capacity limitations, the priority of access to the Reily Center will be given to Tulane students, faculty, and staff during the initial phase of our reopening. We are not charging members during this time and will only reinstate billing once each membership category can begin accessing the facility. Our pool may also be closed for necessary repairs during the initial phases. 

We invite you to participate in the multiple Virtual Activities we are offering. New instructional videos, healthy recipes, virtual group exercise classes, and other activities are added weekly to our YouTube channel, social media feeds, and website. 

We will continue to communicate updates related to business resumption on our website, social media accounts, mobile app, and via email. If you have not done so, please sign up to receive our email alerts

Group Fitness Programs

Powered by high-energy music, challenging exercises, and motivating instructors, group classes are designed to make your fitness goals easily attainable while giving you a fun and energizing workout.  The Group Exercise schedule is available online, on our TU Rec app, and in the Reily Center.

  • Spring Schedule begins January 13, 2020
  • 50+ free classes are offered weekly
  • Modified schedule dates:
    • January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
    • February 19 – 25: Mardi Gras Break
    • April 4 – 13: Spring Break/Easter Break
    • May 1 – 9: Final Exam Week

Group Cycling, Yoga & Pilates Passes

Members must purchase either an Indoor Cycling Pass or a Yoga & Pilates Pass from Member Services to participate in these classes. Cycling and Yoga & Pilates Passes are included in student memberships. Please arrive 10 minutes early for set up. Mats and props are provided for Yoga & Pilates classes. At no point are any passes ever prorated. 

Free Trial Week: January 13 – 27
Single Class Pass: $5
Semester Pass: $35 

Special Fitness Events

The Department of Campus Recreation proudly hosts some of the most popular and widely attended programs on campus.  Students can find late night activities, unique fitness opportunities, outdoor adventures, and a lot of fun and excitement at TU Rec.  All events are free for students with a valid Splash ID. 

Custom Fitness Class

A custom fitness class is a perfect way for groups to get fit and have fun together! Fitness instructors will teach a personalized class at the Reily Center or at your location. To set up a custom fitness class, please email fitness@tulane.edu or complete our custom class request form at https://campusrecreation.tulane.edu/fitness-programs/group-exercise/custom-class-request.

Group of 1 – 25 participants: $45 per hour
Group of 26 – 50 participants: $55 per hour
Group of 51 – 75 participants: $65 per hour

SilverSneakers® & Active Older Adult Fitness Programs

The SilverSneakers®  Fitness Program is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health. It is offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost to Medicare-eligible members. The Active Older Adults program is designed to address the needs of more active older adults. The Active Older Adult classes are a facility-based program and not affiliated with the SilverSneakers program.
