The Department of Campus Recreation invites students and staff alike to boost their metabolism, wellness, and confidence by participating in our 50+ FREE Group Exercise classes offered weekly! Not sure what type of class you’d like to take or unsure of a class name? Fitness FUN-damentals Monthly Workshops

If you are a group fitness participant looking to improve or modify technique, these classes are for you! Once a month we’ll feature a different class format on the schedule and host a workshop that will provide the tools you need to make your workout work for you. Dates & times will be available on our website as well as our social media sites.

Strength & Circuits with Liz || Wednesday, February 20 || 5:30pm-6:30pm

This workshop will introduce participants to circuit style strength training. Participants will learn how often to implement strength and circuit training into their workout routine, as well as proper form and techniques to ensure that you are getting the most from your workout.

Breaking Down the Barre with Rebecca
Monday, March 18 at 12:00pm-1:00pm || Thursday, March 21 @ 5:30pm-6:30pm 

Participants will learn the basics of a barre class from ballet inspired exercises using a ballet bar to core building movements on the floor. Barre is a great workout for dancers and non-dancers alike, as participants will be taken through a variety of movements, and encouraged to take them at their own pace. Beginners welcome & encouraged.

HIIT the Water with Lisette || Wednesday, April 10 || 5:30-6:30pm

Learn the basics of a fun, water based workout! With no impact to joints, water based training is a great way to get a safe, effective workout. Participants will participate in cardio and resistance training using water weights and noodles.

Custom Fitness Class

Custom Fitness Classes are a perfect way for groups to get fit and have fun together!  Campus Rec fitness instructors will teach a personalized class at the Reily Center or at your on-campus location. To set up a custom fitness class, please complete our Custom Class Request Form or email fitness@tulane.edu

Group of 1 - 25 participants: $45 per hour
Group of 26 - 50 participants: $55 per hour
Group of 51 - 75 participants: $65 per hour

SilverSneakers® & Active Older Adult Fitness Programs

The SilverSneakers®  Fitness Program is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health. It is offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost to Medicare-eligible members. The Active Older Adults program is designed to address the needs of more active older adults.
