Join Tulane Outdoor Adventures on a beautiful scenic hike through Homochitto National Forest starting at the Clear Springs campground. Clear Springs has over 20 miles of trails for hiking, and there is a new site around every corner as the area features three different characteristics as you travel east to west: the forest shifts from various pine trees to hardwoods and then a combination of the two based on the topography of the area.

We will camp right on the sand, hike along a beautiful gulf shore barrier island, relax on the beach, and try stand-up paddleboarding. Join Tulane Outdoor Adventures for a scenic and serene meditation and yoga session on the Pontchartrain Lakefront just 20 minutes from campus. Roll out your yoga mat near the Yacht Club and enjoy the golden hour with peace of mind and body. We will leave Tulane at 4:30pm and return by 9pm. Join Tulane Outdoor Adventures as we give it a whirl on the waters of Bayou St. John. Come prepared to get a little wet and have a lot of fun! Join Tulane Outdoor Adventures for a relaxing float down the Bogue Chitto River. Drift along the banks, dip your toes in the cool water, and take in the natural beauty of the Gulf South. After a few hours of blissful floating, we will stop for lunch on a sandbar before diving back in to let the calm current carry our worries away. No freshman could gain the dreaded "Freshman 15" after backpacking 15 miles through Mississippi forests with Tulane Outdoor Adventures! Backpacking is one of the better ways to get off campus, meet new friends, and relax in nature for the weekend. This trip is offered exclusively to freshmen looking to find fellow outdoors enthusiasts after settling into the first few weeks of school. No prior backpacking experience required.
